What we are doing at Summit
Getting a ticket is the easy part. Coming home with a clear plan can be more challenging. That is where we help.
Session prep
We will review the program with you to establish what your firm is trying to achieve this year and why you are at Summit. Tell us, and we will help you pick your sessions. We know what is going on inside firms like yours, so we can often say “send a colleague to that one, you need to be in this one”.
Navigating Summit
Find us on the ALPMA stand. Bring a question, bring a problem you have been chewing on, or just come and say hello. We are happy to talk through what we do, and just as happy to talk about your career and where you want it to go.
When you get back
We will help you to provide your firm’s management team with a summary of what your time at Summit delivered, distilling what you learned, what is worth acting on, and how to bring it together in practical terms.
Who we work with
Every one of us has worked inside a law firm. We have run the operations, sat in the partner meetings, and done the work of getting initiatives across the line. We know both sides of that conversation.
The business side of a law firm covers more ground than it used to. Pricing, technology, people, compliance and client experience all move at once. Firms are handling it, and most of the principals we talk to would still like more room to think ahead.
If your firm has a practice manager, we work alongside them. That means capacity for the projects that never quite reach the top of the list, a second opinion when it helps, and real backing for their development. A practice manager who keeps growing is worth a great deal to a firm, and we are glad to help make that case.
If your firm does not have one, we can cover that ground while you work out what the role should look like. For plenty of firms it turns out to be the step before they hire their first practice manager.
